Omgeving en bereikbaarheid
De Stadhouderskade is een van de meest centrale punten van de stad, op de rand van de historische binnenstad en bruisende De Pijp van Amsterdam Zuid. Het pand staat precies op deze grens en biedt uitzicht op de Singelgracht. Op loopafstand van onder andere de dagelijkse Albert Cuypmarkt en de winkelstraten Utrechtsestraat, Van Woustraat en Ceintuurbaan. In de buurt zijn veel gezellige restaurants en trendy cafés en ligt het mooie Sarphatipark. Toen wij in 2012 binnenstapten in ons huis voor een eerste bezichtiging, waren wij in één klap verliefd. Middenin de stad maar toch rustig, licht, met een magnifiek uitzicht aan beide kanten, hoe uniek in Amsterdam.
Hoge plafonds, houten balken, een mooie eikenhouten parketvloer door het hele huis. We voelden ons er direct thuis. Alles om ons heen, de gezelligheid van de Pijp en de Albert Cuyp, de Utrechtsestraat met zijn chique winkels. En niet te vergeten de spectaculaire avondluchten aan de voorzijde en voor de vroege vogels de zonsopgang aan de achterzijde.
Het was ons droomhuis. We hebben er 12 jaar met heel veel plezier met gewoond, maar nu is het tijd voor een volgende fase. Onze twee dochters zijn bijna uit huis en wij zijn toe aan een volgende stap in ons leven.
Er hoeft niet veel aan te gebeuren, afhankelijk van je persoonlijke smaak natuurlijk.
Beneden zijn onlangs het houtwerk en de muren geschilderd. We hebben kasten op maat laten maken, ruim en praktisch. De buitengevel is vers in de verf gezet en dakbedekking en -goten zijn onlangs vernieuwd. We wensen de volgende bewoners heel veel woonplezier!

When we walked into our house in 2012 for a first viewing, we fell in love at once. In the middle of the city yet quiet, bright, with a magnificent view on both sides, how unique in Amsterdam.
High ceilings, wooden beams, a beautiful oak parquet floor throughout the house. We felt right at home. Everything around us, the coziness of the Pijp and the Albert Cuyp, the Utrechtsestraat with its chic stores. Not to mention the spectacular evening skies at the front and for the early birds the sunrise at the back. It was our dream house. We enjoyed living there for 12 years, but now it is time for the next phase. Our two daughters are almost out of the house and we are ready for the next step in our lives.
Not much needs to be done, depending on your personal taste of course. Downstairs, the woodwork and walls were recently painted. We had custom cabinets made, spacious and practical. The exterior facade has been freshly painted and roofing and gutters have recently been renewed. We wish the next residents lots of living pleasure!
