Omgeving en bereikbaarheid

Wij hebben op 5 augustus 2020 de koopovereenkomst en de aanneemovereenkomst voor de bouw van onze woning getekend. De woning is opgeleverd begin 2021.
Wat maakt het zo prettig wonen in dit huis en in deze buurt?
De wijk is de eerste klimaatneutrale wijk van Nederland. De woning is een herenhuis, maar dan nieuwbouw, en lijkt op een mix tussen een modern grachtenpand en Venetië. Het design van de architectuur is erg mooi. De woning staat in de gracht (wordt momenteel aangelegd), met aan de binnenkant tuintjes. De woning zit dicht tegen het IJ aan, voor extra rust en een prachtig uitzicht (ver van de autostraat die leidt naar de parkeergarage onder het huis). De woning heeft praktisch geen energiekosten (we kregen circa EUR 900 terug, en betaalden circa EUR 140 per maand). Alles is nieuw en ‘state of the art’, wat heel fijn is. De hele wijk is autoluw, maar gemakkelijk verbonden met Ring West en je bent ook zo op Centraal Station en Oost. Je loopt zo het Westerpark en het centrum in, maar zit wel op een eiland in het IJ. Een oase van rust, maar dan dus direct verbonden met het centrum. In onze ogen is deze woning één van de mooiste op het eiland en in één van de meest bijzondere wijken van Nederland.

Environment and accessibility
The Houthavens is a new and car-free city district on the water with a central location between the northern part of the Spaarndammerbuurt and the IJ. The Narva Island is part of one of the seven artificial islands in the Houthavens. This place was once one of the most important trading ports in the world. Now the neighborhood is characterized as a lively urban district surrounded by water and greenery. It is a child-friendly neighborhood with various schools, BSO and childcare. There are various facilities such as a care center, sports facilities and of course catering locations such as Boat & Co, restaurant Karaat, Pont 13, restaurant Vessel, Bar Hout, REM restaurant. For your daily shopping you can go to the supermarkets on the Spaarndammerstraat.
From Spaarndammerdijk you can drive to the A10 West ring road or Central Station in ten minutes. When did you buy the house and when did you decide to buy this house?
We signed the purchase agreement and the construction contract for the construction of our home on August 5, 2020. The house was completed in early 2021.
What makes it so pleasant to live in this house and in this neighborhood?
The district is the first climate-neutral district in the Netherlands. The house is a mansion, but new construction, and resembles a mix between a modern canal house and Venice. The design of the architecture is very beautiful. The house is located in the canal (currently being constructed), with small gardens on the inside. The house is close to the IJ, for extra tranquility and a beautiful view (far from the motorway that leads to the parking garage under the house). The house has practically no energy costs (we got back about EUR 900, and paid about EUR 140 per month). Everything is new and state of the art, which is very nice. The entire district is car-free, but easily connected to Ring West and you can also reach Central Station and East in no time. You can walk straight into the Westerpark and the center, but you are on an island in the IJ. An oasis of peace, but directly connected to the center. In our opinion, this house is one of the most beautiful on the island and in one of the most special neighborhoods in the Netherlands.
